I am just starting to get into photography and I want to move away from auto setting to the manual side. And I would like your advice on what possible DSLR’s I should get ??

Dan Carter July 11, 2016 at 3:14 pm

The DSLR I would go for is the one you can afford! There is always a better camera. I started with a Canon 550d, those cameras are great to get used to manual settings… the camera doesn’t really matter! 🙂

I am visiting Dublin and Munich in November and I was wondering if you had any recommendations of places to visit? I am going for 4 days to Dublin and 5 days to Munich. Any ideas would be great!

Sorry Jack, I’ve never been to Munich and I’ve only been to Dublin once when I was younger! I only remember the ha’penny bridge which like a really small pedestrian bridge which is kind of cool. Other than that, it’s worth a google search 😀 Sorry!!

Hey Dan, Just curious on your mission workshop backpack. It looks like the Arkiv R6. I have the 40L R6 but am thinking of getting the 20L (maybe too small?). What size do you have and how do you like it? I’m mainly using mine for field work as an automation tech / developer in Vancouver. Keep up the good work man, love the vlogs and your blog.

Hey Josh!

Yeah, mine is the Arkiv R6 and I think it’s the 20l. I have the laptop and side compartments too though. I would definitely go for the 40l now. I absolutely love it and I use it pretty much daily since I bought it a couple of years ago – so durable, I just would love to have the 40l now! Hope your enjoying yours too!

Hey Dan,

I’ve been following your content since I saw you on Ben’s vlogs and honestly I really love your content. I too wanted to start making travel videos and have gathered a lot of footage of the places that I have visited. But I’ve been facing problems when it comes to background score for my videos, I wanted to know how you used background score for your videos when you started off making videos.

Also, I just saw Ben’s post about Estonia and I really wanted to leave for Estonia the day I saw yours and Ben’s video and now that you guys have given us an opportunity to go and experience what you guys did I cant really thank you enough!

Keep making great content! Hoping that I’ll be the lucky one to go to Tallinn.
