About Me

FAQ’s

  • Where are you from?

I’m from the UK and currently living in Surrey, just outside of London.

  • Are you South African?

Ha, no! I get asked this way too much. I’m not South African but I do spend a few months of each year there.

  • Did you go to university?

Well… I was studying a Management Course at UCL before I decided to pursue my photography and blog full-time. I’d be keen to go back eventually but the timing was all wrong.

  • How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging with a free WordPress site at the beginning of 2015 so it’s been over two years now! As the blog became more popular, I self-hosted and begun updating the site regularly. I’ve been full time for a year now, which is super exciting.

  • How did you design your website?

I use a self-hosted WordPress with an imported theme, many sleepless nights of HTML and CSS learning and a lot of trial and error! I’m constantly wanting to change things up and keep the website current.

  • Will you eventually switch from dancarternow.com to Youtube?

I love creating Youtube videos and I often find myself putting a lot more time into Youtube because that’s what people love to see. I will always keep writing and plan to do more blogs/vlogs that compliment each other.

  • What camera do you use?

I am now using a Canon 5d Mark IV, with my Canon G7X Mark ii for vlogs.

  • What is your favourite lens?

Definitely my Sigma 35mm f1.4. It’s such a dream and hardly leaves my camera.

  • What do you use to edit your photos?

I use Adobe Lightroom to edit.

  • How long have you been running?

I’ve been running since school but my first marathon was November 2015, with my first Ultra Marathon in April 2016.

I see a continuous series of excellent decisions, choices, and growth from what you’ve shared in images and words. I look forward to what you will create and share. Siempre adelante!
